"If you believe it's time to put principles above parties, character above campaign promises, and Common Sense above all -- then I ask you to read this book...."

In any era, great Americans inspire us to reach our full potential. They know with conviction what they believe within themselves. They understand that all actions have consequences. And they find commonsense solutions to the nation's problems.

One such American, Thomas Paine, was an ordinary man who changed the course of history by penning Common Sense, the concise 1776 masterpiece in which, through extraordinarily straightforward and indisputable arguments, he encouraged his fellow citizens to take control of America's future -- and, ultimately, her freedom.

Nearly two and a half centuries later, those very freedoms once again hang in the balance. And now, Glenn Beck revisits Paine's powerful treatise with one purpose: to galvanize Americans to see past government's easy solutions, two-part monopoly, and illogical methods and take back our great country.

 "Very Good" 2009-08-20
By A. Coon (Phoenix, AZ)
Glenn Beck's book is very well written, and makes a lot of sense. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about U.S. history and also for those who want to get a clear view of how our government is growing out of control. This is not a conservative or liberal book, rather it is a book based on values and equal time of criticism is granted to both sides of the aisle. A must read!!

"Glen Beck's all too Common Sense" 2009-08-20
By Dan Wojcik
I couldn't believe how short this book really is and that Glen Beck used Thomas Paine's original Common Sense as a filler to make money. Although Beck had some interesting thoughts and opinions, virtually anyone could have written this book on a weekend and attached someone else's writings that wasn't copy writed. However you have to have a name nowadays inorder to get published. Glen, write something with substance and solutions.

 "A must-read regardless of political inclination" 2009-08-20
By N. Murillo (Los Angeles, CA)
This is a must-read for people on both sides of the aisle who realize that something is broken in our government and needs to be fixed. The book itself is not too long and Beck writes in a quick and easy manner- no overly sophisticated, complicated sentences or concepts.

Don't listen to those who knock this book solely on the basis of political inclination; an honest individual will find this to be a very honest, truthful book regardless of their political views.

 "Excellent!" 2009-08-19
By J. Huuki (Mi)
I was so excited to read about what is so lacking in this country...common sense! Glenn Beck has an amazing amount of it, and is willing to share it with us if we'd only stop, look and listen. Thank you Glenn, for writing an excellent follow up to Thomas Paine's book of Common Sense. We are desperately trying to make sense of what is going on in America, and it's just not happening...we need to stand up for our liberty, and only elect those officials to office who truly understand what makes America so great, and those with the "common sense" needed to keep it that way!

"Glenn Beck at his best..." 2009-08-19
By Rebekah Kodrin (USA)
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me engaged...not a lot of boring fluff. Just as the title reads, it encourages readers to use the good ol' common sense given them by their Creator.
